Opening on Friday, September 5th, ‘Somedays Somedaze’ is a journey into a three-dimensional world of comic book style bursts and bubbles covering everything from Pop culture to social commentary. The exhibit is a collaboration between Hong Kong artist collective Parent’s Parents and Singapore illustrator Kristal Melson.
The description is so deftly worded, we’ll let it speak for itself: “The aesthetics of comic book hero The Flash meets ‘The Message’ of Grandmaster Flash – bold and colorful, the works push us close to the edge without us losing our heads.” Fine wording!
The three-dimensional aspect of the artwork perhaps comes from Parent’s Parents use of materials besides their painting and graffiti backgrounds.
The opening is on Friday, September 5th, from 7pm to 10pm.
