ParallelX, an exhibition by artists Jewelle Yeung and Leah Clough opens on Wednesday, March 12th at the new location of the Above Second Gallery in Sai Ying Pun. The show includes both drawings and paintings.
Above Second Gallery has helped raise the profile of street art in Hong Kong, staging influential shows featuring international artists, and curating the large-scale “Work In Progress” exhibition with Swire in 2013.
The gallery, founded by May Wong, has brought a steady flow of new artists to the city including Meggs, Cyrcle, INSA, and many others.
Artists Jewelle Yeung and Leah Clough work with themes of nature, decay and regeneration in their work. The two have international backgrounds, spending time between Hong Kong, London and the Philippines.
The opening on March 12th is part of the annual Hong Kong ArtWalk. Purchasing a ticket for the special one-day event entitles you to visit 60 galleries across the city that will be providing food and drinks! For more information, please visit the ArtWalk website.
ParallelX runs until April 26th if you’d like to attend the exhibition without purchasing a ticket for ArtWalk.
