British artist D*Face launches his exhibition “Honestly Dishonest” at an off-Basel event taking place at Above Second Gallery in Sai Ying Pun on Friday, May 16th. The London-based artist cites early New York graffiti and skateboard graphics, as two of his major influences.
Since its founding, Above Second has been showcasing urban artists from around the world, and D*Face, who is a veteran street artist, is an excellent addition. This will be the first solo show for D*Face in Asia.
The artist has been keeping busy since arriving in Hong Kong, remixing the gallery space, creating new works, and even doing a large scale mural at the brand new PMQ event space in Sheung Wan.
Above Second recently moved below Second! They are just a half a block away from the old location, on First Street. You can arrive there by taking nearly the exact same route as before.
