Artist Vanessa Wong’s images of human anatomy fused with popular junk food brands are at once horrifying, fun, and recognizable to anyone who has undergone a serious craving. From colorful M&M’s to instant ramen, you might think twice on your next visit to 7-Eleven!
Thursday night’s opening of “Young Blood” at the Cat Street Gallery features Vanessa’s work in addition to British artist Henry Hussey, who creates elaborate tapestries that tell personal stories from his life. The duo will be giving a talk at 6:30, and the opening runs until 9pm.
