American fashion designer Thom Browne paid a visit to Hong Kong on Thursday evening to showcase his newest collection.
The in-store event held at Joyce in Central attracted a large amount of media and a major crowd of fashion insiders, socialites, and celebrities.
As models posed throughout the lower level of the store, guests were introduced to the designer for a quick meet-and-greet. Photos were being snapped left and right featuring Thom Browne and his legion of fans.
The designer was appropriately dressed for the occasion in a blazer and shorts – perfect for the city’s hot weather and a smart idea since the large turnout caused Joyce to get hot.
A standout in the collection are the heavy padded jackets with embossed designs that are exceptionally eye catching and contemporary. (These can be seen in the front window of Joyce on Queens Road.)
Super-model Gaile was stunning, wearing the best piece of the entire collection – part of the designer’s tie-inspired line. First Lady Michelle Obama wore a similar design during the U.S. presidential inauguration.
