Rushing down Wellington Street on Tuesday afternoon, a stream of bright lights suddenly caught my attention. Turning to my right, I spotted a room filled with colorful merchandise and I was drawn inside.

Before I knew what shop I was in, I spotted a pair of winged sneakers, and I immediately recognized the designer.

Hustle readers remember that Jeremy Scott visited Hong Kong back in 2010, presiding over a special launch event at the Brother & Sister store. In his signature collection for Adidas Originals that year, he debuted many unorthodox styles, including sneakers with wings.

Walking around the newly relocated J-01 by D-mop, (which just opened that day,) there were wings, tails, and even a gorilla coming out from the tongue of a shoe!

Jeremy Scott’s Spring Summer 2012 collection is filled with whimsical designs that build off of his previous departures from the norm. The original concepts have been further honed in shoes such as the gorilla and stars and stripes models.

The flamboyant collection also includes outfits that match the shoes. For those interested in a conversation piece, or a way to inject a little fun into your wardrobe, a pair of Jeremy Scott sneakers are a good option.

Equal parts innovation and outlandish design, simply viewing the Adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott line will likely bring a smile to your face.

Worth a look!
