After bringing the Liberatum Festival to Hong Kong last April, (which brought together creatives such as Pharrell Williams, Khalil Fong, and William Orbit,) Carrera held a more product-focused event on Wednesday at the new Blitz space in Lane Crawford, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Blitz is a pop-up area within the 100,000 square foot Lane Crawford store. It’s a shop-within-a-shop dedicated to collaborations with influential international brands.

Carrera made good use of the space, setting up a mini museum that traced the history of the brand through vintage frames.

The Blitz space allowed attendees to get familiar with the various styles the brand has pioneered over the decades.

Founded in 1956, Carrera enjoyed a burst of widespread popularity during the 1980’s, becoming a major fashion accessory. The frames on display are a testament to their classic design, looking as fashionable today as they were 30 years ago.

Various new models of the glasses were available for guests to try on and be photographed in.

The crowd was made up of fashion insiders, photographers, stylists, artists, actors, and models, as well as numerous musicians including members of LMF, 24 Herbs, and a few CLOT artists. The celebrity factor was high with model Janice Man, fashion plate Hilary Tsui, and singer Aaron Kwok in attendance.

The easiest way to get there is to walk in from the Harbour City entrance near Star Ferry. Just before you hit the escalator entering Harbour City, veer to your right, and enter through the glass doors at the lower level of Lane Crawford.
