It’s the holiday season once again. The streets are packed with shoppers and walking through Causeway Bay is even more difficult than usual.
Of the many gatherings being held on Friday, December 25th, there are two parties of special interest for club-goers.
For fans of underground dance music, the place to be is the monthly Hype Nasty party at Volar. This Christmas edition features DJ Beware and Kid Fresh performing on four turntables!
[photopress:DJ_Beware_Hong_Kong_Volar_HK.jpg,full,pp_image]In addition to both being award-winning turntablists, the two are hooked into the latest trends in electronic dance music. Check out the scene the last time DJ Beware came to Hong Kong. Expect the type of beats that you can find only on world-class dance floors.
For a sample of the type of music you’re likely to hear, check out Kid Fresh’s mixes online and remember to vote for him in the mixtape competition! (It only takes a second!)
Club Cubic Macau celebrates a birthday!
On the same night, one of the big voiced party-rockers in club music, New Yorker, Big Ali, will be performing at the one-year anniversary of Cubic. Think of Big Ali as a sort of motivational shouter for dancefloor action. Aside from having a strong voice, you can expect Big Ali to play a party-rockin’ set, spinning his own brand of popular Hip Hop and R&B.
[photopress:DJ_Big_Ali_Cubic_Macau_club.jpg,full,pp_image]We’ve written about Cubic several times before. It’s basically the place to party in Macau. For those interested in making it a night of it, and getting (slightly) out of town, Cubic is a fun spot. Read more about Cubic in our previous post.
