True Skool’s Reggae party at Pier 7 is back featuring four DJs spinning strictly Dancehall all night. Also, following the documentary Tableturnz at XXX, there will be a big night of music featuring DJ Vajra, an international turntablist, as well a live performance by Hong Kong’s J-Hoon, a gifted beatmaker who will be releasing his debut album featuring Ali Shaheed Muhammad (from A Tribe Called Quest,) in July.
J-Hoon, who also goes by the name Noodles, is a talented producer. Check out a few of his beats below:
Both events promise excellent music that you won’t find in mainstream clubs.
