Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy, Hong Kong’s monthly party showcasing rising international stars in contemporary dance music is taking place this Friday, November 7th. The latest edition features Dre Skull, a New York based producer / D.J., who has put out some great remixes of other new acts on the scene. Also on the bill for the night are DJ Kamikaze and DJ El Nomo, a Shanghai based duo behind the top monthly party Bananas.
Preview some of Dre Skull’s music on his MySpace page. His sound seems to be influenced by early 90’s dance music including everything from Mantronix to Chicago Hip House. Like previous Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy nights, this a great opportunity to check out a rising talent, and someone who’s likely to shape the dance music of tomorrow.
Also playing on Friday are the party’s founders Kid Fresh and D.J. Enso.
