Kee Club, a pioneer in adding sophistication to Hong Kong’s nightlife scene, will celebrate its fifteenth anniversary on Friday, September 23rd, with a party titled “Neon Jungle.” The two-story space was far ahead of its time when it opened in 2001. Over the past fifteen years, the club has hosted an enviable roster including legends Danny Krivit, Gilles Peterson, DJ Krush, and Stéphane Pompougnac, to name but a few.
By incorporating contemporary art and adding an elegant dining room, Kee Club stood apart from the competition and created a swank, multi-use venue. The atmosphere for Friday night promises to be unique, as the space gets transformed into a tropical jungle.
The invitation has a retro feel to it and suggests elements from exotic locales. The dress code for the night is “Tropical Glamour” which offers creative options. If you’re stuck on what to wear, now’s a good time to dust off the Panama hat, or break out that Hawaiian shirt you’ve been dying to have an occasion to wear.
Kee Club typically has performances, including dancers to set the mood. For the musical journey, expect elements from Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America, all rolled into one.
The longstanding party partnership between Kee Club and Veuve Clicquot is dubbed ‘Club Clicquot’, and this is the 32nd edition. The turnout for Friday night’s anniversary should be an exciting mix of old faces and new ones.
