When The 9th Muse jewelry store first opened in 2012, it was one of those magical boutiques that made you just want to move in. The shop was literally hard to leave. The friendly owners would invite you to sit down on the couch and join them for a chat over coffee.
Co-founders Charlotte and Jing created an atmosphere that was a stark contrast to your typical Hong Kong shopping experience. Where The 9th Muse was warm, relaxed, and filled with personality, other jewelry stores felt formal, standoffish, and somewhat sterile by comparison.
Now two years along, The 9th Muse recently reopened after a major renovation. The newest incarnation is much more glam than the previous decor, but still very welcoming – even with all the middle fingers!
The indie jewelry shop, which is located on Lyndhurst Terrace in Central, carries a select range of small label jewelry brands as well as accessories.
Along with the new look is an enlarged assortment of cases and a wider variety of merchandise from unique brands that you won’t find at other shops.
Prices of the jewelry range from very affordable, to moderately high and include designers from around the world.
Accessories such as scarves and sunglasses can be found alongside handbags around the perimeter of the shop, while jewelry takes the center stage.
In addition to the good-sized location in Central, they also have a top-notch online store and are active on social media.
