Hitchike, the multi-faceted event that combines a market, a food fair, live music, and more, takes place over the Mid-Autumn Festival weekend, from Saturday, September 26th, thru Monday the 28th, at The Pulse in Repulse Bay. The musical line-up is strong and includes local groups such as the Reggae band Sensi Lion, Han Jin, Ni.Ne.Mo, and M.C. Doughboy. The event concludes with an all-day breakdance battle on Monday, which is a public holiday.
The first Hitchhike was a huge success, bringing a large crowd and packing the rooftop of D2 Place with musical performances – despite an out of the way location in Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon.
That event, which took place last March, included dozens of booths selling crafts, vintage clothing and local indie labels. The rooftop just above it was filled with a food fair and a sitting out area featuring live music.
The last time around, the food included everything from classics to exotic new creations. For a look at which vendors and eateries are participating this time at The Pulse, check out the Hitchhike Instagram feed.
The musical guests for the Mid-Autumn Festival edtion of Hitchhike include some of the better new groups in H.K., and cover multiple genres. Here’s a schedule of the line-up over the three-day weekend.
Tickets are on sale and include one-day, as well as multi-day packages.
