Recording artist Teebs, a member of the Brainfeeder family that includes Flying Lotus and Samiyam, is returning to Hong Kong for a live performance on Saturday, April 26th. Teebs will be in H.K. following an exhibition of his artwork in Japan.
The multi-talented producer is known for music that ranges from moody, abstract, neo trip-hop, to lush, experimental sound collages that don’t fit a particular genre.
We wrote an in-depth background on Teebs before his last appearance in Hong Kong back in 2012.
Hong Kong has been fortunate to receive a taste of the West Coast abstract sound movement over the last few years, with appearances by Teebs, as well as SAMIYAM, and Nosaj Thing.
The L.A. based Brainfeeder label that Teebs is part of, is known for their experimental sounds and heavy beats. Founded by label mate Flying Lotus, Brainfeeder continues to be a home of genre defying music.
Teebs recently released a new album titled “E S T A R A“, that has been getting lots of buzz.
